In August 2022, the inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals price per ton stood at $1.9K (CIF, US), waning by -36.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2022 an increase of 526% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $4.4K per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to August 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2022, the country with the highest price was Austria ($7.3K per ton), while the price for Canada ($655.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+128.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In August 2022, approximately 4.3K tons of inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals were imported into the United States; picking up by 63% on July 2022 figures. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when imports increased by 181% month-to-month. As a result, imports attained the peak of 14K tons. From April 2022 to August 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals imports stood at $8M (IndexBox estimates) in August 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 with an increase of 55% month-to-month.

In August 2022, China (2.2K tons) constituted the largest supplier of inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals to the United States, with a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Canada (1K tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Morocco (284 tons), with a 6.6% share.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +30.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average monthly rates of imports growth: Canada (+18.6% per month) and Morocco (+2.5% per month).
In value terms, China ($2.1M), Hungary ($1.8M) and the Czech Republic ($1.4M) constituted the largest inorganic oxygen compounds of non-metals suppliers to the United States, together accounting for 67% of total imports. Austria, Canada, Morocco and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
Canada, with a CAGR of +18.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
