China Ionones And Methylionones Import Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the ionones and methylionones price stood at $13.3 per kg (CIF, China), growing by 28% against the previous month. Over the last eight-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 when the average import price increased by 43% month-to-month. The import price peaked in September 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($375 per kg), while the price for Germany ($12.5 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+57.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
China Ionones And Methylionones Imports
In September 2022, the amount of ionones and methylionones imported into China declined rapidly to 156 tons, with a decrease of -46.3% on the previous month. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 with an increase of 61% against the previous month. Imports peaked at 299 tons in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to September 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ionones and methylionones imports fell rapidly to $2.1M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2022 with an increase of 51% month-to-month. As a result, imports attained the peak of $3.2M. From July 2022 to September 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
