U.S. Marble And Travertine Export Price per Ton in August 2022
In August 2022, the marble and travertine price per ton stood at $760.8 (FOB, US), picking up by 7.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 an increase of 21% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $791.9 per ton. From May 2022 to August 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($6.7K per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($714.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+37.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Marble And Travertine Exports
In August 2022, shipments abroad of marble and travertine increased by 64% to 3.1K tons for the first time since May 2022, thus ending a two-month declining trend. In general, exports enjoyed a resilient increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
