China Mixtures Of Odoriferous Substances (Excluding Those Of A Kind Used In The Food Or Drink Industries) Export Price in September 2022

In September 2022, the mixtures of odoriferous substances (excluding those of a kind used in the food or drink industries) price amounted to $11.3 per kg (FOB, China), surging by 3.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2022 an increase of 10% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $12,839 per ton. From March 2022 to September 2022, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($20.1 per kg), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($3,986 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2022, shipments abroad of mixtures of odoriferous substances (excluding those of a kind used in the food or drink industries) decreased by -14% to 2.2K tons, falling for the second month in a row after two months of growth. Over the period under review, exports showed a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 with an increase of 111% against the previous month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.7K tons. From April 2022 to September 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, exports of mixtures of odoriferous substances (excluding those of a kind used in the food or drink industries) declined to $25M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Overall, exports saw a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2022 with an increase of 83% month-to-month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $31M. From April 2022 to September 2022, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.

India (378 tons), Indonesia (196 tons) and Japan (167 tons) were the main destinations of exports of mixtures of odoriferous substances (excluding those of a kind used in the food or drink industries) from China, together accounting for 34% of total exports. These countries were followed by Russia, Singapore, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland, Vietnam, Pakistan, France and the Philippines, which together accounted for a further 42%.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the biggest increases were in France (with a CAGR of +94.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Indonesia ($3.9M), India ($2.9M) and Japan ($2.8M) appeared to be the largest markets for mixtures of odoriferous substances (excluding those of a kind used in the food or drink industries) exported from China worldwide, together comprising 39% of total exports. Vietnam, Mexico, Singapore, Brazil, Switzerland, Russia, Spain, France, the Philippines and Pakistan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.

Among the main countries of destination, France, with a CAGR of +67.7%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
