In July 2022, the nonupholstered wood household furniture price amounted to $33K per unit (CIF, US), picking up by 68% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a prominent increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Non-upholstered seats with wooden frames lagged somewhat behind, accounting for a further 5.1%.

In July 2022, Vietnam (2.7M units) constituted the largest nonupholstered wood household furniture supplier to the United States, with a 34% share of total imports. Moreover, nonupholstered wood household furniture imports from Vietnam exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (1M units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by China (916K units), with a 12% share.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of volume from Vietnam was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average monthly rates of imports growth: Malaysia (-6.0% per month) and China (-1.9% per month).
