China Peach And Nectarine Import Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the peach and nectarine price amounted to $3,015 per ton (CIF, China), reducing by -51.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 127% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,234 per ton, and then fell markedly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,895 per ton), while the price for Spain totaled $2,647 per ton.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
China Peach And Nectarine Imports
In September 2022, after five months of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of peaches and nectarines, when their volume increased by 208% to 21 tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a precipitous descent. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at 19K tons in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to September 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, peach and nectarine imports skyrocketed to $62K (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a precipitous shrinkage.
