China Phosphides, Hydrides, Nitrides, Azides, Silicides And Borides Export Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the phosphides, hydrides, nitrides, azides, silicides and borides price amounted to $8,078 per ton (FOB, China), growing by 48% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated pronounced growth from January 2022 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.2% over the last eight months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, export price for phosphides (excluding ferrophosphorus), whether or not chemically defined; hydrides, nitrides, azides, silicides and borides increased by +72.1% against July 2022 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($32.5 per kg), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($1,370 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+11.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After four months of growth, overseas shipments of phosphides (excluding ferrophosphorus), whether or not chemically defined; hydrides, nitrides, azides, silicides and borides decreased by -56.1% to 1.3K tons in September 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 with an increase of 84% month-to-month. India (284 tons), Japan (149 tons) and Brazil (130 tons) were the main destinations of exports of phosphides (excluding ferrophosphorus), whether or not chemically defined; hydrides, nitrides, azides, silicides and borides from China, together comprising 44% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Belgium, Indonesia, the United States, Poland, Slovenia, South Korea, Mexico, Australia and Thailand, which together accounted for a further 46%.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the biggest increases were in Thailand (with a CAGR of +49.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, India ($2.2M), South Korea ($1.5M) and Japan ($1.5M) were the largest markets for phosphides, hydrides, nitrides, azides, silicides and borides exported from China worldwide, with a combined 50% share of total exports. The United States, Thailand, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Indonesia, Poland, Slovenia and Australia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 20%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Thailand, with a CAGR of +26.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
