U.S. Shipping Export Price in June 2022
In June 2022, the average shipping price amounted to $49,881 per unit, declining by -96.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average export price increased by 6,616% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1.5B per thousand units. From March 2022 to June 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2022, the country with the highest price was Canada ($93,041 per unit), while the average price for exports to the UK amounted to $6,720 per unit.
From April 2022 to June 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+85.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Shipping Exports
After two months of growth, overseas shipments of ships, vessels, ferry-boats for the transport of persons decreased by -50% to 2 units in June 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 with an increase of 100% m-o-m. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 4 units. From March 2022 to June 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, shipping exports shrank significantly to $100K (IndexBox estimates) in June 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2022 when exports increased by 13,332% m-o-m. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $6M. From March 2022 to June 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
