China Unsaturated Chlorinated Derivatives Of Acyclic Hydrocarbons (Excluding Vinyl Chloride, Trichloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene) Export Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons (excluding vinyl chloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene) price stood at $3,199 per ton (FOB, China), with an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 when the average export price increased by 34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,513 per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to September 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,602 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($875 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In general, exports, however, posted a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 with an increase of 110% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the peak figure at 5.4K tons in August 2022, and then dropped notably in the following month.
In value terms, exports of unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons (excluding vinyl chloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene) fell sharply to $12M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 with an increase of 80% month-to-month. The exports peaked at 16K tons in August 2022, and then shrank significantly in the following month.

The United States (1.9K tons), India (1.2K tons) and South Korea (120 tons) were the main destinations of exports of unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons (excluding vinyl chloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene) from China, together accounting for 87% of total exports. These countries were followed by South Africa, Belgium, Japan and Russia, which together accounted for a further 8.3%.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by South Africa (with a CAGR of +22.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons (excluding vinyl chloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene) exported from China were the United States ($7M), India ($3.5M) and South Korea ($358K), together accounting for 91% of total exports. Japan, South Africa, Russia and Belgium lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 5.1%.
