Price Forecast for Vermouth in Italy till 2025

Vermouth Price in Italy (FOB) - 2023

The average vermouth export price stood at $2.1 per litre in December 2022, picking up by 9.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 14% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2.3 per litre in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to December 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Russia ($9.1 per litre), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1.2 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+17.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Vermouth Price in Italy (CIF) - 2022

The average vermouth import price stood at $3.3 per litre in November 2022, surging by 53% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a moderate expansion. The import price peaked at $4.4 per litre in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to November 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2022, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($24.4 per litre), while the price for Spain ($1.3 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2021 to November 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+15.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
