U.S. Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Export Price in December 2021
In December 2021, the veterinary medicine vaccines price stood at $78.8 per kg (FOB, US), approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2021 when the average export price increased by 16% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $83,024 per ton. From November 2021 to December 2021, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($99.2 per kg), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($34.8 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Exports
Veterinary medicine vaccines exports from the United States declined to 514 tons in December 2021, waning by -9.5% compared with the previous month. Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2021 when exports increased by 33% m-o-m. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 797 tons. From June 2021 to December 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, veterinary medicine vaccines exports contracted to $41M (IndexBox estimates) in December 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2021 with an increase of 28% m-o-m. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $60M. From June 2021 to December 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
U.S. Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Exports by Country
Brazil (77 tons), Canada (74 tons) and Mexico (64 tons) were the main destinations of veterinary medicine vaccines exports from the United States, with a combined 42% share of total exports. These countries were followed by China, South Korea, Belgium, Vietnam, the Philippines, Spain, Thailand, Japan, Germany and Taiwan (Chinese), which together accounted for a further 36%.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of +8.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Canada ($6.8M), Mexico ($5.8M) and Brazil ($4.9M) were the largest markets for veterinary medicine vaccines exported from the United States worldwide, together comprising 43% of total exports. These countries were followed by China, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Japan and Taiwan (Chinese), which together accounted for a further 30%.
Germany, with a CAGR of +19.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
