In September 2022, the yarn of viscose rayon filament, including monofilament of less than 67 decitex, single price amounted to $6,058 per ton (FOB, China), approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period from January 2022 to September 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2022 an increase of 5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in September 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In September 2022, the countries with the highest prices were India ($6,555 per ton) and Italy ($6,498 per ton), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($4,740 per ton) and Indonesia ($5,364 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

In general, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2022 when exports increased by 58% month-to-month. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 11K tons. From April 2022 to September 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The total export value increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2% from January 2022 to September 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 when exports increased by 58% against the previous month. The exports peaked at 61K tons in August 2022, and then shrank sharply in the following month.

The second position in the ranking was held by Pakistan ($7.7M), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by Turkey, with a 5.5% share.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of value to India totaled +8.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Pakistan (+6.7% per month) and Turkey (-12.6% per month).
