The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 33%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced modestly in the following year.

Germany (X tons), Israel (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main suppliers of nonwoven fabric imports to the Netherlands, with a combined 45% share of total imports. Italy, Vietnam, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, China, the United States, Finland and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 39%.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
