Belgium (X tons), the United States (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main destinations of rubber tube and pipe exports from the UK, with a combined 23% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, France, China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, the Czech Republic, India, Iraq and Australia, which together accounted for a further 40%.

In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of tubes, pipes and hoses of vulcanized rubber, when their volume increased by 6.8% to X tons. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 43%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, rubber tube and pipe imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a noticeable reduction. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Italy (X tons), China (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of rubber tube and pipe imports to the UK, with a combined 44% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Germany, Turkey, India, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the United States, Malaysia, France, Spain and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 45%.
