South Africa was the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which recorded 64% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Mauritius (X tons), Egypt (X tons), Tunisia (X tons) and Morocco (X tons), together creating a 31% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to aluminium window and door exports from South Africa stood at +7.6%. At the same time, Morocco (+34.8%), Egypt (+17.9%), Mauritius (+5.2%) and Tunisia (+4.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Djibouti ($X per ton), while Benin ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
