The export price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 100% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per ton), while Burkina Faso ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (-1.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2021, ammonium chloride imports in Africa skyrocketed to X tons, growing by 17% against the year before. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 19%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ammonium chloride imports rose significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 14% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X.
