Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, imports of bed linen of knitted or crocheted textiles shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest bed linen of knitted or crocheted textiles importing markets in Africa were Kenya ($X), Mozambique ($X) and Algeria ($X), with a combined 47% share of total imports.

Mozambique, with a CAGR of +40.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -12.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a deep contraction.
