In general, exports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 60% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports amounted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Electric oven and cooker imports contracted to X units in 2022, which is down by -13.3% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 17%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports contracted to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +51.3% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 33%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.

Algeria (X units) held a 10% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kenya (7.1%) and Tunisia (6.3%). The following importers - Morocco (X units) and Libya (X units) - each accounted for a 4.5% share of total imports.
