The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest electro-magnetic coupling supplier in Africa, comprising 74% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Morocco ($X), with an 8.3% share of total exports. It was followed by Congo, with a 4.2% share.

In South Africa, electro-magnetic coupling exports decreased by an average annual rate of -10.7% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Morocco (+0.6% per year) and Congo (-3.5% per year).

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +86.2% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, the largest electro-magnetic coupling importing markets in Africa were Nigeria ($X), South Africa ($X) and Algeria ($X), with a combined 65% share of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, Nigeria, with a CAGR of +27.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
