By contrast, South Africa (-1.4%), Tunisia (-1.6%), Zambia (-3.9%) and Democratic Republic of the Congo (-6.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Nigeria, Benin, Egypt, Namibia and Equatorial Guinea increased by +26, +8, +4, +1.9 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
