Moreover, Tanzania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of +45.0% from 2012-2022. By contrast, South Africa (-9.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Tanzania (+7.7 p.p.) and Kenya (+5.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while South Africa saw its share reduced by -8.1% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Egypt ($X) remains the largest frozen vegetables other than potato and corn supplier in Africa, comprising 74% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kenya ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Tanzania, with a 3.9% share.
