In Ghana, monumental stone granules and powder exports increased at an average annual rate of +73.3% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Tunisia (+40.7% per year) and Egypt (+30.8% per year).

Imports in Africa

In 2021, imports of granules, chippings and powder of monumental stone in Africa surged to X tons, picking up by 31% on 2020. Over the period under review, imports posted a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 39% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
