In 2021, the export price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, approximately reflecting the previous year. Export price indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, grapefruit juice (single strength) export price decreased by -29.5% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by 45% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

The import price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, reducing by -7.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
