In value terms, Egypt ($X) remains the largest cereal, fruit or nut chocolate bar supplier in Africa, comprising 60% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Africa ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Tunisia, with a 9.2% share.

In Egypt, exports of chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts increased at an average annual rate of +13.0% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: South Africa (+8.0% per year) and Tunisia (-7.9% per year).
