In value terms, Tunisia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hot-rolled bars of silico-manganese steel in Africa, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by South Africa ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Tanzania, with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Tunisia amounted to +1.3%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Africa (-10.9% per year) and Tanzania (+2.9% per year).
