Mali (+19 p.p.), Nigeria (+10 p.p.) and Benin (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Burkina Faso and Ghana saw its share reduced by -15.4% and -16.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, the largest karite (shea) nuts supplying countries in Africa were Burkina Faso ($X), Ghana ($X) and Nigeria ($X), together comprising 83% of total exports.

Among the main exporting countries, Nigeria, with a CAGR of +36.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
