Moreover, Botswana emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of +31.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Tunisia (-17.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of South Africa (+47 p.p.), Botswana (+2.2 p.p.) and Lesotho (+2.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Tunisia (-38.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest line telephone supplier in Africa, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tunisia ($X), with a 7.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Botswana, with a 1.2% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in South Africa totaled +1.3%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Tunisia (-10.5% per year) and Botswana (+20.0% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Africa amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 13% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a mild expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 30% against the previous year.
