By contrast, Mauritius (-9.3%), Morocco (-14.9%), Egypt (-19.6%) and Nigeria (-34.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Ethiopia (+7.3 p.p.), Kenya (+5.1 p.p.), Seychelles (+4 p.p.), Senegal (+3.8 p.p.), South Africa (+3.5 p.p.) and Malawi (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Nigeria (-25.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest snow motor vehicle supplier in Africa, comprising 76% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ethiopia ($X), with a 4.3% share of total exports. It was followed by Senegal, with a 3.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa totaled -12.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Ethiopia (+11.4% per year) and Senegal (+12.4% per year).
