At the same time, Kenya (+25.9%), Seychelles (+14.9%), Ethiopia (+9.6%), Malawi (+7.2%) and Senegal (+7.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kenya emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of +25.9% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Mauritius (-9.3%), Morocco (-14.9%), Egypt (-19.6%) and Nigeria (-34.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Ethiopia (+7.3 p.p.), Kenya (+5.1 p.p.), Seychelles (+4 p.p.), Senegal (+3.8 p.p.), South Africa (+3.5 p.p.) and Malawi (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Nigeria (-25.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest snow motor vehicle supplier in Africa, comprising 76% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ethiopia ($X), with a 4.3% share of total exports. It was followed by Senegal, with a 3.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa totaled -12.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Ethiopia (+11.4% per year) and Senegal (+12.4% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the export price increased by 563% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Burkina Faso ($X per unit), while Libya ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
