The countries with the highest volumes of non-industrial diamond production in 2020 were Botswana (X tons), Angola (X tons) and South Africa (X tons), together accounting for X% of total production. Congo, Namibia, Lesotho and Sierra Leone lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of non-industrial diamond production, amongst the key producing countries, was attained by Lesotho (+X%), while non-industrial diamond production for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the production figures.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, the exports remained at a lower figure.

From 2014 to 2020, the growth imports failed to regain momentum.
