The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 55% against the previous year. In value terms, the largest other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses supplying countries in Africa were Morocco ($X), South Africa ($X) and Tunisia ($X), together comprising 94% of total exports. Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Egypt lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.3%.

Uganda, with a CAGR of +28.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
