The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +119.6% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 56%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Egypt ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Tunisia, with a 9.6% share.
