Egypt (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Mali (X units), Cote d'Ivoire (X units), South Africa (X units) and Guinea (X units). All these countries together held near 45% share of total exports. Kenya (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Ghana was also the fastest-growing in terms of the percussion musical instruments exports, with a CAGR of +21.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Cote d'Ivoire (+14.7%) and Guinea (+9.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Kenya and Egypt experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Mali (-2.0%) and South Africa (-3.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, the largest percussion musical instrument supplying countries in Africa were Ghana ($X), Cote d'Ivoire ($X) and Mali ($X), with a combined 55% share of total exports.

Among the main exporting countries, Cote d'Ivoire, with a CAGR of +16.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
