In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest oil dispensing pump supplier in Africa, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Senegal ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by Kenya, with a 14% share.
In South Africa, oil dispensing pump exports contracted by an average annual rate of -4.9% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Senegal (+8.2% per year) and Kenya (+42.2% per year).

In value terms, oil dispensing pump imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Nigeria (X units), distantly followed by Egypt (X units), South Africa (X units), Ghana (X units), Ethiopia (X units), Algeria (X units) and Sudan (X units) represented the main importers of petrol and oil dispensing pumps, together mixing up 71% of total imports.
