The second position in the ranking was held by Tunisia ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Morocco, with an 8.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in South Africa stood at -2.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Tunisia (-5.3% per year) and Morocco (+12.6% per year).

Export price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last decade. Cameroon, with a CAGR of +25.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Africa stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -8.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 14% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit, and then contracted in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($X per unit), while Mozambique ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
