In South Africa, polyphenols and phenol-alcohols exports increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kenya (+69.2% per year) and Cote d'Ivoire (-8.1% per year).

Based on 2022 figures, polyphenols and phenol-alcohols import price increased by +63.8% against 2020 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
