From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Morocco (X units) and South Africa (X units) prevails in exports structure, together creating 90% of total exports. Mauritius (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Morocco (with a CAGR of +53.3%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, Morocco ($X), South Africa ($X) and Mauritius ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 95% of total exports.
Among the main exporting countries, Morocco, with a CAGR of +50.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Africa amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 4.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the export price increased by 17%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($X per unit), while Mauritius ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Among the main importing countries, Morocco, with a CAGR of +14.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
