At the same time, Gabon (+70.9%), Mauritius (+60.8%), Morocco (+24.0%), Senegal (+10.6%), Tunisia (+7.5%) and Kenya (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Gabon emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Africa, with a CAGR of +70.9% from 2012-2021. While the share of Mauritius (+4.6 p.p.), Gabon (+3.6 p.p.), Tunisia (+1.8 p.p.) and Morocco (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of South Africa (-17.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest radio navigation apparatus supplier in Africa, comprising 63% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Tunisia ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Mauritius, with a 3.1% share.
In South Africa, radio navigation apparatus exports decreased by an average annual rate of -4.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Tunisia (+17.2% per year) and Mauritius (+17.5% per year).

Imports in Africa
In 2021, the amount of radio navigational aid apparatus imported in Africa skyrocketed to X tons, rising by 23% against 2020 figures. In general, imports saw a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 138% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Moreover, Democratic Republic of the Congo emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of +34.7% from 2012-2021. Tanzania experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Gabon (-1.7%), Angola (-9.0%) and Morocco (-10.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Ghana (+16 p.p.), Algeria (+7.1 p.p.), Democratic Republic of the Congo (+4.9 p.p.), Guinea (+4.7 p.p.), Uganda (+2.8 p.p.) and Nigeria (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Morocco and Angola saw its share reduced by -5.7% and -15.6% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest radio navigation apparatus importing markets in Africa were Algeria ($X), Ghana ($X) and Morocco ($X), together accounting for 20% of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Algeria, with a CAGR of +27.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern.
