The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Tunisia ($X) remains the largest remote control apparatus supplier in Africa, comprising 64% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Morocco ($X), with a 31% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Tunisia amounted to +1.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Morocco (+9.8% per year) and South Africa (-3.8% per year).

Moreover, Seychelles emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of +22.7% from 2012-2021. Tunisia and Zambia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Ghana (-2.0%), Zimbabwe (-5.1%), Namibia (-17.5%) and Morocco (-21.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of South Africa (+12 p.p.), Algeria (+9.2 p.p.), Seychelles (+4.7 p.p.), Tanzania (+3 p.p.), Tunisia (+2.3 p.p.), Zambia (+2 p.p.), Gabon (+1.6 p.p.) and Cote d'Ivoire (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Namibia (-6.8 p.p.) and Morocco (-28.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported radio remote control apparatus in Africa, comprising 40% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Algeria ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Ghana, with a 7.8% share.
