As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, refined groundnut oil exports dropped to $X in 2021. Overall, exports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 33%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Cameroon (X tons) was the main exporter of refined groundnut oil, making up 39% of total exports. It was distantly followed by South Africa (X tons), Senegal (X tons), Kenya (X tons) and Morocco (X tons), together mixing up a 46% share of total exports. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per ton), while Morocco ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, the import price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -10.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 24%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Zambia ($X per ton), while Benin ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
