In value terms, relay imports shrank slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Tunisia (X units), distantly followed by South Africa (X units), Egypt (X units) and Algeria (X units) represented the key importers of relays, together comprising 73% of total imports.
