Moreover, Ghana emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of +24.5% from 2012-2022. Ghana (+7.2 p.p.), Nigeria (+1.9 p.p.) and Algeria (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while South Africa saw its share reduced by -12.3% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, South Africa ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported rubber hose reinforced with metal in Africa, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Algeria ($X), with an 8.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Ghana, with a 6.1% share.
