The export price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2021, shrinking by -18.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 70% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($X per ton), while Rwanda ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, imports of sanitary ware and parts of copper in Africa stood at X tons, surging by 3.5% compared with 2020. Total imports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -9.0% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, copper sanitary ware imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Morocco ($X per ton), while Rwanda ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
