South Africa (X tons) remains the largest sheet piling producing country in Africa, accounting for X% of total volume. Moreover, sheet piling production in South Africa exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, Guinea (X tons), threefold. Uganda (X tons) ranked third in terms of total production with a X% share.

In 2020, South Africa (X tons) was the main exporter of sheet piling, making up X% of total exports. Egypt (X tons) took a X% share (based on tons) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Tunisia (X%) and Nigeria (X%). Ghana (X tons), Uganda (X tons) and Zambia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, imports failed to regain momentum.
