While the share of South Africa (+11 p.p.) and Kenya (+2.1 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Africa ($X) remains the largest snow ploughs and blowers supplier in Africa, comprising 89% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kenya ($X), with a 4% share of total exports. It was followed by Namibia, with a 0.8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in South Africa amounted to -13.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kenya (+12.3% per year) and Namibia (-28.0% per year).

In value terms, the largest snow ploughs and blowers importing markets in Africa were Morocco ($X), Algeria ($X) and Egypt ($X), with a combined 61% share of total imports. Nigeria, Libya, Swaziland, Ghana, Malawi, Gambia and Uganda lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.
Among the main importing countries, Gambia, with a CAGR of +40.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Algeria ($X per unit), while Swaziland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Gambia (+33.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
