In value terms, stamping foil exports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

South Africa represented the largest exporter of stamping foils in Africa, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Tunisia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Morocco (X%) and Cameroon (X%).

In terms of the main exporting countries, Morocco, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Africa stood at $X per ton in 2022, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($X per ton), while South Africa ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Morocco (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2022, the import price in Africa amounted to $X per ton, which is down by X% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Nigeria ($X per ton), while Tanzania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
