The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports saw a buoyant expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, unwrought aluminium alloys imports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Overall, imports showed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2020 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Morocco represented the largest importer of unwrought aluminium alloys in Africa, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2020. While the share of Egypt (+X p.p.), Tunisia (+X p.p.), Uganda (+X p.p.), Eritrea (+X p.p.), Central African Republic (+X p.p.), Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha (+X p.p.), Somalia (+X p.p.), Equatorial Guinea (+X p.p.) and Chad (+X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2007-2020, the share of Morocco (-X p.p.) and Kenya (-X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
