The volume of export peaked at X cubic meters in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wood fuel (non-coniferous) exports dropped to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

The shipments of the three major exporters of wood fuel (non-coniferous), namely Egypt, Zambia and Cote d'Ivoire, represented more than two-thirds of total export. In value terms, the largest wood fuel (non-coniferous) importing markets in Africa were Morocco ($X), South Africa ($X) and Somalia ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. Djibouti, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Guinea-Bissau, Libya, Gabon, Lesotho and Botswana lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X African Republic (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
