In value terms, man-made filament yarn exports reached $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a resilient increase. Egypt was the key exporting country with an export of around X tons, which amounted to 63% of total exports. Uganda (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with an 11% share, followed by Tunisia (6%), Swaziland (5.8%) and Senegal (5%). At the same time, Uganda (+40.0%), Senegal (+19.7%), Tunisia (+9.9%) and Benin (+4.6%) displayed positive paces of growth.
