In value terms, cabbage exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by 161% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The United Arab Emirates (X kg), Canada (X kg) and France (X kg) were the main destinations of cabbage exports from Algeria.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +46.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Canada ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and France ($X) were the largest markets for cabbage exported from Algeria worldwide.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+48.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Algeria
For the third consecutive year, Algeria recorded growth in supplies from abroad of cabbage and other brassicas, which increased by 15% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 502% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, cabbage imports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 397%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Belgium (X tons), South Korea (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of cabbage imports to Algeria.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +36.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, South Korea ($X) constituted the largest supplier of cabbage and other brassicas to Algeria, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belgium ($X), with a 20% share of total imports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+55.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
