Dry vegetable imports into Algeria skyrocketed to X tons in 2022, growing by 49% on 2021 figures. Overall, imports posted a tangible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 141%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, dry vegetable imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed a noticeable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 178%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Tunisia (X tons) constituted the largest dry vegetable supplier to Algeria, accounting for a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, dry vegetable imports from Tunisia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Egypt (X tons), with a 6.1% share.
